Though Jorden wasn't thrilled about having to make all new lesson plans for this term, his position being taken and all, he decided he'd better do it if he wanted Hufflepuff Head of House. Which he did. Jorden had been waiting a while for his wife Averie to get back from the little vacation she was taking with a friend, and was starting to get mighty lonely, so at least for a moment he had something to occupy himself.
She should be back anytime now, he thought as he studied the first lesson plan that he had just made. Of course, it was an introduction, but hey, he needed plans for these lessons or knowing Jorden, he was likely to fall apart in front of a classroom full of students young and old. He remembered looking at the roster posted back in his room. He had three seventh yearsa nd two first years so far. What a wide array of children.
That same familiar smile came to his face as he looked up from the kitchen into the living room, seeing the large portrait of himself with Averie at their wedding. Merlin, he missed her so much. Now he sort of knew how she felt whenever he had disappeared to be with his dying father in their seventh year. Sad,huh?

Airports suck Averie thought as she pushed her way towards the exit. In front of her Jeraud Deveraux sauntered, his duffle bag over his shoulder as if he had all the time in the world. But she didn’t, Ave had to get home to Jorden. “Stupid….selfish…….” She continued to grumble under her breath as she pushed past a young couple looking for their bags. She sighed heavily and brushed a strand of pink hair from her forehead.. Why had she gone with Jer on his wild goose chase? Because he couldn’t take Harm, and well. Averie was the only other tough girl he could find. Odd huh?
“FINALLY! AIR!” She exclaimed to the world as she burst out onto to the busy terminal sidewalk. “Suckish air but still!” She glanced at Jer. “Hail a cab Deveraux! NOW.” Ahh there was that…. Toughness that was Averie. Being stuck in a desert for a month and a half hadn’t changed her. She watched as a black and white taxi drove towards them, and smirked as she let out a loud, almost ear piercing whistle. The cab hit the brakes just as it was about to pass her. “Now that’s how you get a cab.” She said as she jumped into the back and gave the man their addresses.
“You’ll be home soon Ave.” Jer said as she relaxed into the black vinyl seats.
“Yeahyeah. I want my husband.” She mumbled. Averie crossed her arms, which made her seem like a petulant child, but hey, she hadn’t seen Jorden since before she left. “I’m never going to a desert again. EVER. Especially with you. You water hog.” Ave grouched.
As soon as the cab turned onto Lilac Lane, she was out of the car, her bag banging against her shoulder blades. Must. Get. HOME She thought as she hurriedly sprinted up the steps of her and Jorden’s house. She reached into her shirt and pulled her keys out of her bra. An odd place to keep keys, but she didn’t trust their party when she and Jer were indisposed, so a little pain was better than not being able to get in. She fumbled to put the key in the lock, and failed. “FOR MERLINS SAKE!” She growled as she pulled her wand out and pointed it at the lock. “ALOHOMORA!”
After wrestling with the knob again Ave was finally in. “JORDEN! BABY! IM HOME!” She called, cupping her hands around her mouth to make her voice louder. She dropped her bag at the door and made her way towards the living room. Where is he? She thought, biting her lower lip in worry.

Jorden grunted softly and leaned back in the chair, his hands moving up behind his head, so as to stretch his arms and shoulders. They were getting a little stiff, as were his legs, but he dare not move his legs at the moment, he had to finish this lesson. He just had to. Jorden leaned back forward to the desk, a loud sigh emerging from between his light pink lips as he bit sharply on the bottom one, finishing up the last few blocks of lesson plan on the calendar.
When he was done, he moved back into the previous position. Leaning back, hands behind his head, and readied himself to stand. Of course, that was before he heard her and his eyes lit up, his heart started beating twice as fast, and his thoughts ran. He immediately threw open the office door, leaving it askew for the moment, and ran into the living room where he saw her. The most beautiful thing in his life, in his world, on this earth. Jorden moved to her immediately.
"I missed you so much." He spoke softly, looking down into the eyes, willing himself away from crying. He was so happy that she was back. He pushed a strand of pink hair from her face and behind her ear before pulling her closer into him and letting his lips push against hers with a slight force. He held one hand on the back of her neck, and the other in the small of her back.

Averie twirled in a circle for a moment, her eyes lingering on the wedding portrait, the smile on Jorden‘s face. That smile, even if it was just in a picture, made a huge grin appear on her dry lips. The sound of a door being opened rather roughly made her turn towards the study. Tears glistened in her eyes as Jorden came to her. Her world was right in front of her.
“God…you don‘t know how much I missed you.” She said, her eyes locked on his. She tilted he head towards his hand, never letting her eyes move from his. Was this another mirage? She had seen a lot of Jorden mirages in the desert, and….those really freaked her out, not to mention made her the laughing stock of the team. Her eyes closed when he kissed her. Damn his lips are soft… She thought as she twined her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her. Now she wished she had used the lip balm she had bought at the airport.
I love you Jorden. She thought, willing the thoughts to reach him by deepening the kiss. .

Jorden wanted so badly to tell her how he felt. To tell her that she was the most beautiful girl in the world and that he had been an absolute wreck without her. Of course, he didn't want to break the wonderful kiss they were wrapped up in. Then again, this could be one of his dreams again, and he would be woken up by his alarm just as they got into the bed. He had missed Averie enough that he had allowed his dreams to obsess over her more than he had in all of the time they had been an item.
Jorden couldn't help but smile when they finally did break the kiss, Jorden knew that she probably needed air as much as he did. He kissed her lips, cheek, chin, and neck softly before pulling away to look down at her, a wide smile on his face. "Averie.. oh my love, Averie." He chuckled a little bit.
"I never want you to leave me again. And vice versa. From now on, we are stuck with each other. Always and forever." Jorden nodded at her, looking deep into her beautiful eyes. "Have I ever told you that you are the most beautiful thing on this earth? Or that I missed you when you were gone? Or that I'm glad I married you? Or that I love you very much?" Jorden laughed softly.

Okay….not a mirage. Cobalt isn‘t going to laugh at me again for stripping down to my undies and running at the imaginary Jorden….good. She thought with relief. She had gone half insane thinking she saw him there….in the desert…surrounded by water. She growled softly when he broke the kiss, but it was probably for the best, her lips were cracking again. “Jor, baby“ She said softly.
Should I tell him? She thought, biting her lip softly. Soon after arriving to the city in the center of the desert Jer insisted on her taking a pregnancy test….and she was pregnant. “Jorden. If Jer ever asks me to go on a ‘spa vacation‘ make sure I kill him. Im never leaving again! DO YOU KNOW HOW HOT IT IS IN THE DESER?! I SAW MIRAGES OF YOU AND…..” She trailed off and blushed a little. Embarassing moment alert.
“I love you so much more, and you‘re going to be a dad!” She said and burried her face against his chest.

"You saw mirages of me?" Jorden wondered aloud, thinking over it momentarily. He didn't bother with what the 'and' of it was, so he couldn't help but blush, slightly taken aback and flattered. Even though she was his wife and they were still newlyweds and madly in love, he was pretty embarrassed by it. Jorden kissed her lips softly before letting her speak again.
When she spoke again, he blinked momentarily and opened his mouth three times, as if to speak each time before he just kind of gave up on speaking altogether. It took him another moment to gather some sort of composure before he embraced Averie tightly. "Oh my gosh. That is . . . that's amazing. Do you know anything about it yet, cause we have this book.." Jorden trailed off, walking over to the bookshelf and pulling down a book titled 'Magical Home Remedies'. Yeah, Jorden was the manager at Flourish & Blotts, so he pretty much had all of the awesome books, or could get his hands on them. "This was my dad's apparently, but it has in it like spells to find out how far along and a gender." Jorden went back over to her and handed her the book.
"But, if you don't want to know the gender and all of that, then I won't force you into it, though I would very much appreciate if you knew the gender." Jorden grinned at her.

Averie smirked playfully at him and nodded. Those mirages had been the only thing she was glad to see everyday, Jer had thought she was going insane, but so was he. She smiled at the kiss he gave her, and the smile was still there as she watched his reaction. She waved her hand in front of his face. “Jor? Earth to Jor?” She said snapping her fingers.
She squeaked softly at the hugging, taken totally by surprise. “No, I didn‘t have time to go see a doctor in the town we were in….not that I trusted them…I mean…they could have killed me for all I know.” She muttered. Her eyes followed him to the bookshelf. “It‘d be great to know the gender…but I think I‘m three months along…maybe.” She said, counting the weeks she was gone n her fingers.
“Hun, let‘s do the spell.” She said, closing the small distance between them and cupping his face in her hands. “…..Did I mention I missed you?” She asked softly before kissing him gently.

"Three months?" Jorden wondered aloud, his mind immediately racing to attempt to figure out how much longer he'd have to wait and in which month his baby would be in his arms. The thought made butterflies swarm in his stomach. He was already excited. Then he looked down, and it was true he could see quite a bit of a bump, but at three months, the bump should certainly not be that large. "Alright, let's do this spell then." He kissed her back, his smile warm and welcoming as she kissed his lips.
He flipped through the book trying to find the page he'd once found long ago when skimming through the many books his father had left behind in his death. He sighed as he finally found the page, the spell looked simple enough, and Jorden was a well practiced wizard, this couldn't be too difficult could it? He muttered the spell and waited. It stated that in a few moments time, a slip of paper would emit itself from the want which cast the spell. He waited, anxiously. When it emitted, he immediately handed it over to her.
"You read it!" He laughed a bit. He was too nervous to do so himself.

Averie shrugged one shoulder. “ Around that I suppose. But remember, I‘ve been wandering the desert in search for rogue wizards….which…by the way I don’t know why I was chosen for.” She muttered. Ave‘s stomach seemed to be filled with giant blood sucking bats. Their wings were wafting all the anxiety she had hidden on her trip to the surface. I can‘t be a mother! I‘m barely out of school…andandand… She took a deep breath and let it out in a ragged sigh.
She held the paper in her hand and bit her lip. “Finefine.” She muttered as she held it up and glanced at him for a moment and then at the paper. “Oh Dear Merlin….THREE BOYS!?” She exclaimed. She felt faint. How could she handle three boys! Let alone three boys with her genes running in their veins. The paper slipped from her hands and she backed up until she was leaning against some solid object. Her body slid to the floor and her eyes stayed on Jorden. “Holy…..Oh….crap.” She said,

Jorden couldn't help but smile as he continued to think about the fact that in six months, he'd be a father. Six months, that was all. They had so much preparing to do, he had to paint and do-up a nursery. He would use one of the larger bedrooms upstairs, he guessed, for his oldest child. Jorden sighed softly as he thought about all of this preparing he had to do. He watched as Averie opened the slip and paper and read it, seeing the immediate shock upon her beautiful face.
"What?!" He yelled loudly, curiously. He was quite alarmed by the statement she just made and pulled the slip of paper from her hands to read it on his own. Triplets, three boys. Holy cow. He sank down beside Averie and pulled her over into his arms, kissing the top of her head. "It'll be alright. We can do this." He had to keep his own composure calm and collected, to seem as though he could at least act like the stronger of the two for the moment. He had to be strong in this situation for the both of them.

Averie buried her face against Jorden‘s chest and put one hand on her ever growing stomach. “I think I‘m going to be sick…” She muttered, still feeling light headed. “Oh Merlin…..Dear Lord……HOLY COW……Three…..boys…..” She muttered against his shirt. She closed her eyes tightly and leaned back to look at him. “Jorden. I think this is going to kill me.” She muttered sarcastically. Yes folks this was her coping mechanism, sarcasm.
Coping aside, they had a lot of things to get ready for their bouncing babies. “You know. Our kids are going to be amazing.” She muttered, smiling at him lovingly. Then a thought struck her. “….And they‘re going to be a really big handful…” She said with a sigh as she ran a hand through her hair. Since these kids are hers, they‘ll probably be trouble making munchkins…. Great She thought, sighing inwardly.

Jorden continued to hold Averie close to him. He didn't want to let her go now that he found out she had his three sons hidden within her stomach. Her stomach would keep them hostage until February, the month before his own birthday. Of course, with triplets, they were almost always a month or two premature, so they needed to finish all of their preparations in the next three or four months. Jorden would take Averie out almost immediately, tomorrow, the weekend, whenever she was up to it, in order to have her pick paint and a color scheme for their nursery, or nurseries. Maybe they could keep them together and then pull them into different rooms in the large house when they were a bit older.
Jorden thought about it. Three times the diapers, the food, the clothing, he thought of his inheritance fading away with the thought of his three boys looming over his head. Boys eat in plentiful amounts too, and he was sure that Averie had probably already been eating four times her normal because of them. Jorden couldn't help but kiss her head and hold her close as long as she allowed him to do so. He was so happy, but still in shock, and so scared at the same time. As long as everything went okay, he would be happy. As long as at the end of the road he had three sons and a wife to hold, he would be a happy camper.
"They're going to be boys. Of course they will be a handful." Jorden thought over it momentarily. He was always a quiet kid, his father had claimed he'd never once thrown a fit during his terrible twos. He was calm, collected, yet sly and cunning when the need was great. He had a feeling at least one of the three if not two or all three would be like him. Of course, there was a chance they'd have three rambunctious and hyper little boys, spitting image of their mother.
"You're wonderful. Thank you ahead of time for the wonderful gift of my three sons." He lifted her chin to kiss her lips softly.

Averie turned so that her back was to Jorden‘s chest, fitting herself comfortably against him. Her hands found their way to her stomach, tracing small circles on the fabric of her shirt. How are we going to afford these kids… She thought worriedly. “ We need to….prepare…” She muttered with a sigh. “I mean we have more than enough room for them here and all, but….don‘t you think they‘ll need separate rooms? ….or nurseries?” She asked, tilting her head back to look at him.
She closed her eyes, numbers streaming behind her closed lids. Her parent‘s would be happy about the grandchildren thing, and more than likely to help, and they might have to. “God…we‘ll be poor.” She whined as she put her face in her hands.
“Love, they‘ll have both of our blood in their veins. And I‘m not all level headed like you…” She said, with a playful grin. She was never a quiet baby, or so her mother kept reminding her whenever she wanted a visit from their only child. ‘I‘m glad we only had one!’ he parents would say at reunions. And somehow Averie was glad too, she didn‘t like sharing all that much anyway.
“You‘re more than welcome Jorden.” She said softly against his lips before kissing him back. Well he's more than welcome if I make it through three boys coming out of my nether regions. She thought with a sheepish grin.

Jorden smiled as she fitted herself against his form, as they sat on the living room floor of their humble abode.. or should I say, rather large manor. He couldn't help but kiss the top of her head before letting his hands move to where hers were, so that both of their hands were motionless, resting on her stomach. It was almost surreal to him, and it hadn't yet hit him. Sure, the initial shock had hit him, but all of the preparations had not, and the many arguments that were sure to come with her being emotional and him just being normal calm old Jorden, were not something he was yet ready for.
Jorden listened as she whined, thinking over it momentarily. Did he really have the funds in his inheritance for triplets? Sure, they could make it a few years, maybe ten or more on that, but then as their children were to get older, they would get older and more poor also. Buying this and that for Hogwarts. It was almost weird to think. Three little wizards popping out of the place Jorden most liked to pop into. And how weird would that be after triplets exited? Seriously, Jorden really likes to think of that as an entrance only door, but some people just go against the grain.
"Love, we won't be poor. If I have to, I'll drop teaching to make more at FB as well as take up another job. I'll get a ministry job. Government jobs always pay more." He reminded her. Jorden would make things work for them, even if he had to give up teaching History of Magic. It was his passion, it lit the fire beneath him, really, and he would do anything to keep the job year after year. Jorden sighed softly, just thinking about giving it up really began to irk him. Then the thought of nurseries flitted in.
"Actually, I already thought of an idea myself. Sketched one out and everything, in my wishes that we would have a son sometime after your trip." Jorden looked to her, wanting to show her, but he didn't want to disturb her, as she looked mighty comfortable.
