Ah, how pleasant. The shopping that was always stressful when mom was there was finally over. James ran his fingers through his hair, ready to run through the platform the last time. Ever. It was such an odd feeling, the swish of the material dissolving as he passed through the barrier. He was on his way to Hogwarts, ready to find the answers that had been swirling through his head seven years strong. It wasn't like he was thinking the same questions. First year he was busy trying to think of how to get girls to stop thinking he had cooties. Now he was wondering what he wanted to do with his life. He had wanted forever to be an auror. Like father, like son ... but now he was wondering if he really wanted that. If that really was the thing he was meant to do with his life.
He saw his mother crying, which was really odd, because James had never seen her cry. His family surrounded him, and he could just hear a group of girls cheering "GROUP HUGGGGGG!" He awkwardly broke the hug and whispered, "I love you guys." He never left his house with out uttering these words. Because with his family, you would never know when you might see a family member again. More likely than not, they were always there to greet him home, but he always liked to be sure. He saluted his family, blew a kiss to an onlooking girl who was googling, and then jumped on the train, his brother snd sister followed. He looked around and found an empty carriage to sit in. This would be nice, all to himself. He looked at his kitten, a little baby tabby that stared back at him. "I think we're going to have a good year Layne. ((HAHAHAHAHAH!))" He threw his legs up onto the seat infront of him, and allowed himself to relax. A good year indeed.
