“It‘s for the baby….” The blonde muttered to herself as she stood in front of the rundown shop that hid the bed magical hospital ever. It was time for the visit she and Blake had talked about. There was one problem. Valeria was deathly afraid of any form of doctor and hospital. You can do this Val. She thought as she approached the dummy at the front of the store, near the door. The thing sort of freaked her out, the glassy eyes looking out on the world, sightless, clouded. She shuddered before straightening her shoulders.
“What is your business at the hospital witch?” The dummy asked, making the word witch sound like a bad thing. She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips. “I need to visit a doctor you little…glass eyed….” She trailed off and started again, “I‘m on a check up run. Pregnant women need that you know.” She muttered grudgingly. “ Oh…well…come in.” Valeria smirked to herself as she pushed into the ‘rundown storefront‘ which had turned into a very neat and clean hospital waiting room.
“Hello miss, how may I help you?” The receptionist asked in a pleasant voice as Val leaned against the counter. “I need to talk to a doctor? Because A. I‘d rather not tell you, and B. because…..well I need to see a doctor.” She said, giving the woman a smirk that would kill a mere human. “ You‘ll have to fill out these forms…and have a seat.” The woman replied, handing over a thick stack of official looking papers. Val had to bite down on her lip hard to keep from insulting the middle aged witch.
“…..Stupid paper work….Where‘s Blake…” She muttered, looking around at the almost full waiting room. He should have been there by now.

Kate wasn't used to having such a dull day, but no one needed the head doctor today. No serious injuries had yet been reported, nothing too interesting going on in the wizarding world. In fact, besides making her usual rounds to check on the patients who had been around here for any length of time, she hadn't anything to do. She updated her paperwork, traded in her old white and somewhat yellowed jacket for a new perfectly white one, and had even taken an early lunch break, figuring it would be interrupted with a patient. Nonetheless, she'd made it through the entire break without even having to lift a finger, besides to eat of course, and came back into the hospital lobby when she was done.
Kate looked around, seeing only one blond patient before she walked up to the receptionist. She wondered aloud to the older woman why the blond was sitting in the waiting room, being bothered with paperwork. She was told that it had not been the girl's wish to talk to the receptionist, that she only wanted to see a doctor. Well, who more perfect than Kate (besides Bella of course), one of the two Head Doctors here at St. Mungos! Without another thought, Kate waltzed right up to the girl and looked down at the long paperwork she had ahead of her.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Sabella, but you can call me Kate if you wish .Don't bother with that silly mess, just chuck it at her and let's be on our way to my check-up room." Kate turned on her heel almost immediately and began walking away, expected Valeria to follow her.

Val tapped her fingers against her knee in irritation. Why would someone give a pregnant ex Slytherin paperwork? She glanced up, shooting a glare at the receptionist who was now talking to another woman, who kept glancing at her. She straightened in her seat when the woman came over and started talking.
Her eyes lit up at the thought of chucking the stack of papers at the woman. Redemption! Val smiled at Kate and nodded. “I’m Valeria, or Val, which ever…and hold on a second.” She said as she walked back to the receptionist’s desk and dumped the papers right over her head. “Now we’ll go to the check up room.” She said as she followed her doctor towards the room.

It was still hard for Blake to comprehend the fact that he was going to be a father, let alone spit out the 'p' word. Pregnant. He had come to conclusion that somebody 'up there' was getting revenge for him mentally making fun of Harmony for being pregnant and Jeraud for becoming a father so young, which he found completely unfair. But the fact of the matter was that there was no way Blake was going to let his precious little baby go anywhere. He wasn't going to be like his jackass parents.
He followed his pregnant fiancée into the hospital, grinning a bit when he noticed the nervous expression on her face. "It's going to be quick and easy, Love." He assured her. "I promise." Then again, what did Blake know about pregnancy? Only the process of which a woman became pregnant, and the fact that it made kids. The only kids that didn't bug the living hell out of him were Slytherins, though he knows his own kids won't either, because they will be the greatest kids in the history of little kids. Why? Because not only will their last names be Ryder, but their parents are Blake and Valeria. That screams sexiness and amazingness.
Blake glared at the receptionist's attitude, wonding just who the hell she thought she was. There obviously wasn't much to boast about with this woman if she worked as a receptionist for St. Mungo's. Atleast Blake's had a decent job. One that he wanted back oh, so badly. The Ministry of Magic was like his second home! And even though he loved being closer to Valeria, he hated the whole prospect of being G...G...Gameskeeper. Blake furrowed his eyebrows when Dr. Sabella introduced herself, wondering if Valeria noticed how much of a quack she seemed like. He would have to watch this chick carefully while she was inspecting his fiancée and son. Blake followed the girls back to the hospital room, eyeing Sabella suspiciously.

Kate couldn't help but force herself to hold back laughter as Valeria, or Val as she would call her since she was afraid she'd stumble over the first, dumped her stack of papers over the receptionists head. Kate had never much liked any of the receptionists here at St. Mungo's, as they were rude even to her and Bella, but Kate hadn't the heart to fire anyone. Then again, that lady was getting mildly close. St. Mungo's doesn't require paperwork, so that lady really needs to check up on what's REALLY going on.
Kate smiled as the three entered the check-up room, patting the bed for Val to sit on the edge of. There were two chairs in the corner, and the rolly stool on which Kate sat immediately, tugging on both ends of her stethoscope. She didn't even know why she carried this around, most likely to look cool, because she hadn't the slightest idea how it worked, nor did she care to use it. She did everything by magic around here, including checking heartbeats.
"Do you know how far along you are, or the gender yet?" Kate wasn't sure if the hospital had a file on Val and her unborn baby, but it should somewhere. If she could just give her some information, she'd be able to pull it almost immediately. Oh magic!

Okay this doctor was scaring Val a little. Not that she‘d let that little bit of info out by the way she was walking a little to quickly. It‘ll be okay. Blake promised. She thought as she gripped his hand, her fingers laced with his. When they entered the check up room she glanced around, her eyes as wide as saucers, literally. This room seemed to cramped to her, and the bed way to tall.
She glanced at the doctor and took a deep breath before bouncing up onto the bed and plopping herself down so that she was facing Kate. “Umm….Two maybe two and a half months? Or three…I don‘t remember. And no. No gender knowledge as of yet.” She said, biting her lower lip and crossing her legs. She was super uncomfortable in her.
“Honestly, I hardly ever go to the doctor at all so I don‘t think they‘d have record of me coming here before…” She muttered, more to herself as a reassurance than to the doctor or to Blake.
