The administrators (Abigail Kirkland, Seymour Kirkland, Jeraud Deveraux, Ross Thomson and Violet Thomson) would like to take the time to welcome the students from Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, as they spend the duration of the school year with us!
This term will prove to be different than the rest, even though it's our first. Hogwarts was chosen to be the home of the Triwizard Tournament once more, since the last Champion, Harry Potter, came from our lovely establishment. Hogwarts students are asked to be on their best behavior for the incoming schools to show what a lovely bunch we are.
The Triwizard Tournament is a challenge between Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. One competitor (typically called the Champion) is chosen from each school, though they must be over the age of seventeen. (Usually a student in their seventh year of schooling.) The Champions are chosen at random by the Goblet of Fire, and those who place their name in the goblet are automatically binding themselves to competing the competition if chosen.
There will be three seperate challenges for the Champions to compete in during the school year. As previously mentioned, you have been bound to a magical contract if chosen, and you must compete in the challenges, no matter what the circumstances may be. The Heads of the three competing schools will be the judges, and the Champions are to stand alone and not receive any outside help. There will ultimately be one winner. During the third and final challenge, the Champions are to make their way through the maze, and whoever finds the Triwizard Cup will be announced the winner, and will receive 1000 Galleons.
An event to look forward to this year is the Yule Ball, which takes place on Christmas Eve. The Yule Ball is a formal gathering in which students arrive with dates. The Champions are to have the first dance with their dates, and the students and staff join in after.
Once more, we ask that our students be on their best behavior and set a good example for the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students. But most of all, show them why we're the head school! In a good way, of course.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
It means that not only can you make characters from Hogwarts, but from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang as well! There will be sign-ups very soon for those who wish to represent Hogwarts, Beauxbatons or Durmstrang. Please take advantage of this opportunity!
