Ross went through the port key and it took him to the lawns, he looked about for Vi but she wans't there. Ross wasn't too sure on what they were doing for this lesson but he knew Vi had something planned so he would have to wait for her before he could do anything, plus no one is here yet so he has to set things up for when the students do come. Ross pulled out his wand and fixed things out. Like big long benches across the grass for the class to sit on. He put a board up at one side. And a smaller bench for two at the other side, and that was for the professors to sit on. Once he had everything set up he took a seat on the small bench and just waited for the rest to come along.

Lesley screamed as she went through the portkey. When it was near the end she stopped. When she got to the lawns she hit the ground. "ahhh" She got up and fixed out her cloths. She looked aroudn and walked round the corner and saw Ross sitting by himself over by benches and a board. Well this was for them. She walked over and smiled and looked at Ross. "Hey sir." she grinned and picke dout a seat and sat herself down. She ran her hand through her hair and then looked about. [/blockquote]

Jessica gracefully landed down on the ground at 'The Lawns' after going through the port key. It was a nice sunny day and the birds were chirping away. She looked around and saw that Ross was there and there were benches set up for the students. She went over and took a seat next to the girl she had met in her last class Lesley and took a seat next to her saying hi.

AND HERE WAS THE ANIMAGI MASTER HERSELF! Violet had a pretty awesome lesson set up, if she did say so herself. She set up her lesson as Ross sat down on the bench, sending an ungrateful glare over in his direction every once in a while. Just because this whole lesson was her idea didn't mean that she should have to do it all herself. She's a woman! Men were much stronger and such. And with a horse, a snake in a cage and two large pictures on easels, his help would have been greatly appreciated. But no. Ross just decided to sit on his lazy ass. What a guy. When others started to arrive, Violet smiled at them. She gripped onto the Clydesdale's rope and checked to make sure the cage on her other side still had the snake within it, and when she was sure everything was in order, she started. "Welcome to Lesson Two, Animagi and Care of Magical Students! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Violet Thomson. The name probably sounds familiar because your professor is my lazy husband." She said jokingly, sending a facetious wink in his direction. "Today, we've decided to show a few animals -- both Muggle and Magical -- that share a few comparisons. For my students, this will be to study the personality of a couple of animagus possibilities. For Ross's students, this is to learn about two Magical animals at once. For students of both Ross and I, you're in luck! Twice the work! I would have the Magical comparisons here with me, but they're quite dangerous! You see," She paused to pull out her wand and use it to reveal the pictures held up by the easel. "These creatures are rather dangerous! The half human-half horse creature is called a centaur. Though they are not as dangerous as the creature we will discuss after this, let's just say that you wouldn't want to anger them. They can be compared to the Native American tribes found in the United States, and decide to keep out of contact from the rest of the Wizarding world. They are said to be much smarter than humans, though Divination was once taught by a centaur named Firenze. As for the large snake, it's called a Basilisk, and is quite a destructive beast. It can reach up to fifty feet in length and can live for hundreds of years. The only Wizards that are able to communicate with these beasts are Parseltongues; Magical folk who have been gifted with the talent of speaking to snakes. It's stare kills anybody who looks at it directly, and sends anybody who stares into its eyes indirectly -- such as into a camera or mirror -- into a state of petrifaction." "It's up to you to try and decide the comparisons between the horse and centaur, and snake and basilisk. They should be pretty easy, seeing as I'm sure most of you know what horses and snakes are. I'm not asking for you to dig up information on horses and snakes, just compare personalities with their counterparts! If you have any questions or comments, please don't be afraid to ask either Ross or myself." She finished, trying to sneak a few gasps of air.

MOMMY AND DADDY IN THE SAME LESSON? THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER. Lillian made her way down to The Lawns as quickly as she could when she heard this amazing news. She smiled as she saw her mommy and daddy getting ready for the lesson and decided to yell, "I LOVE YOU GUYS!" And then she turned to the few people already there, wanting them to know the awesome fact that the professors were her parents. "THAT'S RIGHT! MY MOMMY AND DADDY ARE TEACHING THIS LESSON! I'M EXCITED!" ... Maybe a little too excited. She spotted a Slytherin girl around her age and immediately squeezed onto a bench next to her, still extremely happy. "HEY! My name is Lillian Wilhelmina Thomson, what's yours? I'll bet it's pretty! I think we should be best friends, don't you?!" And no, Lilly wouldn't take no for an answer. > Then she noticed the other girl on her new best friend's side. "Hi! I'm Lilly Thomson, in case you didn't hear my introduction to my new best friend! WE SHOULD BE FRIENDS TOO!" Two new friends in less than two minutes. That's what the Thomsons called success. Lillian watched with wonder as her mother explained the tale of the basilisks and centaurs, though she was more enticed by the horse her mom was holding onto. Was that her new pet?! Lilly always wanted a horse! But when she was told to take notes, she pulled out a paper and pen from her little bag and started writing. CREATURE COMPARISONS! Horses and Centaurs: Okay, so they both have four legs. The centaur is basically a copy of horses, because horses are generally awesome. But being a centaur would be AWESOME because you could run like a horse and TALK! The thing I like the most about Centaurs is that they're super smart! Then I could really live up to being a Ravenclaw!
Snakes and Basilisks: A basilisk is basically a gigantic snake, but it's a lot more deadly. Basilisks seem really mean and ugly and scary, but Mommy and Daddy always said it wasn't nice to judge. There are just so many ways to hurt yourself with a basilisk! Looking into a camera at it?! That's just scary! Lilly decided to hand her paper in at the end of class and turned to her new best friend. "How are you, new best friend?"

As Lily reached out to grab the door handle, a smile appeared on her lips as she felt the all too familiar pull behind her bellybutton. Yes! This doorknob was certainly a Portkey. She had gotten used to this feeling, having used one anytime the Floo Network was unavailable. The red haired girl landed gently on her feet, and was surprised to find herself out on the lawn. Well then again, they were having a lesson with the care of magical creatures class, so it would make sense for them to be on the lawn.
She took a seat on the bench next to the girl named Lesley and smiled. ”Hello again.” She said before her light brown eyes fixated on her teacher. The difference between the two creatures? That was simple. There were certainly a lot of obvious once. A quill and piece of parchment was retrieved from her bag and Lily began on the assignment.
Creature Comparisons
Snakes and Basilisks: Snakes are much smaller than Basilisks, and seem to be a bit more docile. Also, snakes do not have the ability to petrify or kill people with their eyes. And I’m sure your everyday muggle won’t set their eyes upon a basilisk in their cabbage patch. But they both have the same basic structure, have forked tongues, and are venomous.
Horses and Centaurs:
Horses are for riding around the park a few times, similarly to snakes, they are a bit more docile in nature and don’t go around talking to people. Centaurs have the upper body of a human and are intelligent. Not that horses aren’t but, Centaurs can talk and teach Divination classes. However the two do have four hooves and a beautiful tail.
Once she was finished writing, Lily lightly blew on the ink before handing it to the teacher and taking her seat once more. Okay, so far it wasn’t such a hard lesson.

Jessica got out her writing supplies and book for the class Monster Book of Monsters, The - Unknown and prepared to take notes. Then she saw a new girl who she hadn't met who came to sit next to her. The girl introduced herself as Lillian Wilhelmina Thomson. She said they should be best friends and she wouldn't take no for an answer. "Hey I'm Jessica Abbot Zashterly, how are you Lilly and I would love to be best friends with you." she said with a big smile as her eyes got all big. She thought it was awesome to meet a new girl and get a new best friend all at once. She listened a professor she hadn't met before introduced herself as Violet Mae Thomson. Violet Mae Thomson was married to Ross Thomson her professor for 'Care of Magical Creatures' and she seemed like a cool teacher. She listened as Violet said that today they intended to show a few animals both Muggle and Magical that show a few comparisons. She said for the 'Care of Magical Creatures' class that this was to learn about two magical animals at once. She watched as Violet pulled out her wand and used it to revel the pictures held up by the easel. Jessica removed some parchment from her backpack and prepared to compare the creatures as asked. Creature Comparisons [/center] Horses and Centaurs:Well both Centaurs and Horses have four legs and tails. Centaurs can talk where horses can't. Centaurs are much more intelligent then horses are and can teach Divination class. Horses tend to get along with humans better then Centaurs do. Snakes and Basilisks:Well both are snakes except basilisks are much much bigger then snakes. Snakes are less dangerous then basilisks but both have forked tongues. Both have scales and both snakes and basilisk shed their skin regulary. Basilisks can kill you just by looking at you where as a snake can bite you thought some have a poisonous bite. She turned in her paper when she was done and turned to face Lillian who asked how she was. "I"m great, how are you?" "Your in the house of Ravenclaw correct, I'm in house Slyherin." she said with a bright big smile to her new best friend.

Richard landed down at 'The Lawns' and walked over and took a seat next to his sister on a bench that had been placed out for the students.
He listened as Violet said that today there getting to see a few animals. He thought that was very cool and he watched intently as the professor continued.

Ross sat around waiting for people to come along, if people did come and other folk just went past they would think he's a really lazy and it'll look like he's trying to get out of class though he can leave whenever he wants, NOT! Crap be couldn't. He looked around and saw Lesley come. "hey." She smiled and waited more. Ross looked round a few more times and the students started to come along. Okay so they did get the message and use the portkey, WOOOT WOOT! Lmao. He looked up to his wife and smiled. When she said she was lazy he stood up and walked over to her. "I'm am not lazy" he said looking at her with grin playing around. After that he turned to the class and smiled. When she was done talking he looked to her. He looked round and saw his daughter. He smiled and looked back to Vi.

Sophia was actually happy that her lessons were combined this week. This meant mainly one thing, SHE'D ONLY HAVE TO DO ONE ASSIGNMENT FOR BOTH CLASSES! WOO HOO! A small smile ran over her lips as she listened to Violet give the lesson, as she was used to. Ross hadn't ever given very detailed lessons when she'd been in his classes even as a younger student, so Sophia was used to him sitting on the sidelines. She was glad he was letting his wife teach though, as she did a wonderful job and she was very proud of her. *sniffle* All her ickle professors are growing up!
Sophia looked at the animals that were shown and explained to them. Ew, she hated snakes. And she was frightened of horses. Wow, this lesson could be quite the interesting lesson, surely. Sophia could not help but smile when they were given their assignment. Wow, that wasn't too awfully hard. With a combined lesson, she'd actually expected twice the work she'd usually have to do in either class, but this was not difficult, no not at all.
CREATURE COMPARISON!
Snakes & Basilisks A typical snake is much smaller than a basilisk, as a basilisk is the largest of all of the reptiles, besides maybe a dragon. A snake is commonly found in a yard or a garden, where as we would not see a Basilisk roaming around in the pumpkin patch. A basilisk has the ability to kill simply by getting someone to look it in the eye, but a snake cannot. Both are venomous creatures, with a ferocious bite. Obviously, that of the basilisk is a little more harmful than that of the smaller snake counterpart.
Horses & Centaurs Firstly, and most noted, a horse does not have a human torso for its upper half. It is simply a horse, but a centaur does have a human upper body. A horse cannot speak as a centaur can, but can only whinny. A centaur has high intelligence, able to teach divination, and they take great interest in the stars. Horses are also highly intelligent, but are more interested in eating apples and defecating wherever they please. Both are very beautiful creatures, although the human part of centaurs is not always very pretty.
After finishing up her assignment, Sophia took it up to Violet and smiled at her, handing over the piece of parchment with her tidy scrawl written upon it!
