RULES!

Welcome to the reading of the rules. Please pull up a chair and read carefully. A violation of any rule will result in a warning and eventually a warning bar.
1. The most important thing to get you started on this site is your sorting or application. Make sure all answers are accurate to how you want them the MOMENT that you sort them, because we will be sorting you the moment we get a chance, and that could be the minute you are done. You never know. You want accurate information so we give you the house, year, and such that you would like.
2. Basic roleplay rule: No Mary-Sues, Gary-Stus, or Cindy-Lous allowed. Don't know what those are? A Mary-Sue is basically the character whose application is 'Always bubbly, gets perfect grades, is Head Girl, Quidditch Captain, and a Teaching Assistant for Potions.' This is absolutely not permitted. A Gary-Stu is almost the same thing, just in male form. Always lusted for by females, gets perfect grades, Captain of the Quidditch Team, Head Boy, works out always and is very buff. Once again, not permitted. Lastly, a Cindy-Lou is basically the character that absolutely no one wants to be around. Mother passed away when she was three, father died of a broken heart soon after. Orphan all of her life. Is often outcast by members of her graduating class and members of her house. For the third time, not permitted.
3. Basic roleplay rule: Absolutely no power-playing or god-moding. If you don't know what either of these are: power-playing is simply when you choose the actions of the other person's character. They are not your character, you are not allowed to choose their actions!
4. There are only two places in which you can post before being sorted or given a position. These are the account problems and advertisement boards. Do not attempt to post anywhere else besides these two boards before you are sorted. We have made it impossible for guests to post on other boards, but you never know if we may have missed a few.
5. The absolute most important rule on this whole page is the one you are about to read. DO NOT FIGHT WITH THE ADMINISTRATORS. We understand if you get frustrated at us for something we do or something you did that we got onto you for, but it does not need to be taken out of hand. If you feel you are being treated unfairly by any administrator, PM the Head Administrator Abigail Kirkland (abigailk) with the PMs in question.
6. The only 'fighting' that is allowed is that of your characters in play. There is absolutely zero fighting allowed through PM or on the OOC board.
7. The site now has a rating of PG-13. On our previous site we had password protected boards for inappropriate material and our site was deleted. We believe we were reported by people who did not agree with our administrators, but none-the-less we cannot have this happen again. Please, cooperate with our wishes or we will have to take immediate action by giving punishment to your characters. This may include deleting the thread, giving a warning bar to both characters, and eventually account suspension (if it occurs more than once). Just please, don't make us go out of our way to suspend your account or even give you a warning bar. If there is inappropriate content, you can take it to PM at that point and then back to the thread afterward, if you REALLY have the desire to RP it out.
8. The requirement for each grade level is three classes. You are allowed to pick your classes, we do not choose them for you! We only have boards/classrooms for classes that a professor has chosen. If you are wanting to attend another class, you will have to join a class until that class has become available. You can always withdraw from a class at a later date, if need be. You MUST PASS THREE CLASSES to move up a year or for your character to graduate. There are technically two exceptions to this rule. The busy admins have decided : if you have MORE THAN THREE (not three, not two, not one) characters, you may take TWO CLASSES ON EACH CHARACTER if you wish. But you have to have more than three. The other is if you just know you don't have time to attend more than one class, let the administrators know with a legitimate reason why, and we'll waive you to only have to take one class!
9. We will be doing somewhat frequent member sweeps. If you haven't been active for a month or longer, we will delete your account. You can get it back only by reapplying and putting in another sorting/application and such. That is simply a hassle, and you don't want to do that. Please, if you are going to be away for an extended period of time, inform an administrator, or even better! Post a Leave of Absence in the LoA board.
10. We have worked very hard on this site and are very dedicated to it. Please do not spam, join to advertise and leave, or waste our time arguing with us. We appreciate you all for joining.
11. (NEW RULE!) You are allowed multiple accounts, but before you can make a second account you MUST get the first one to at least fifty posts. You are allowed to make a student and then make an adult at any time, but you cannot have more than one student or more than one adult, until your first student or adult gets to fifty posts. We will not take away characters of those members who already have multiple, but this is to help regulate having too many members, or keeping all of your accounts active.
Welcome to Always Hogwarts. (: From your lovely administrators: Sara, Autumn, Renn, Scott, and John.
